Growing Daikon Radish Microgreens
1. Materials Needed
- Daikon radish seeds
- Seedling tray or shallow container
- Potting mix or seed-starting mix
- Water
2. Microgreens Growing Process
- Soil Preparation: Fill the tray with moist potting mix, leveling it evenly.
- Sowing Seeds: Scatter daikon radish seeds densely over the soil surface. Lightly press them into the soil without burying them too deep.
- Watering: Mist the surface gently with water to avoid displacing the seeds.
- Covering: Cover the tray with a lid or another tray to create humidity until germination (about 3-5 days).
3. Care for Microgreens
- Once the seeds sprout, remove the cover and place the tray in a bright, indirect light location.
- Water as needed to keep the soil moist but not soggy.
4. Harvesting Microgreens
- Microgreens are ready to harvest in about 7-14 days when they are 2-3 inches tall. Use scissors to cut them just above the soil line. Rinse before use.
