Purple carrot with orange centre with slight spice flavour. Through the years we have found that these grow best towards the bottom of a hill on a swale with lots of compost, manure and peat moss. Our best method for saving seeds for biennials are to store the carrots in a tub with peat moss in a cool & dry pantry. We cut the carrot greens almost completely off with just 1cm of greens remaining on the carrot before storing them. This allows them to grow fine roots through the winter in the peat moss and to be planted outdoors in the Spring as a Steckling. Open-Pollinated.
