How To Grow:

60 seed/gram Sow seed directly into the garden 1.25 cm (1/2") deep in rows 30-45 cm (12-18") apart. Successive sowings as late as the first of July helps extend the harvest. Thinning is essential for good root formation so thin seedlings to 10 cm (4") apart - you can use the tops of thinned beets as a source of baby greens. Irrigation is important during dry spells up until the roots begin to swell. Fertilizer improves quality and size of roots.

Who are we?

Canada's - Heirloom - Non-GMO - Heritage vegetable garden seeds supplier.  Support your secluded seed production across Canada.

What are Heirloom Seeds:

In the past, heirloom seeds were typically handed down to a son or daughter of a farmer who was getting married.  This was considered a wedding gift to help provide for the newly formed family.  Now these heirloom seed varieties are sought after because of their diversity and their widespread growing regions that has helped to keep them isolated from Genetically Engineered Varieties.   The most common reason for seeking out heirloom seeds is to find varieties that are resistant to various molds and crop diseases depending on the region in which you are trying to grow.
