Known also as Winter Purslane due to the succulence of its heart-shaped leaves and stems. Native to California where the miners noticed that this sweet cold-hardy plant could feed them in the winter. Harvest just above the crown with scissors and the leaves will grow back up to three times. Don't allow to flower unless you are saving Miners Lettuce for Seeds.
