Holy Basil, aka Tulsi Basil is known worldwide for its amazing uses such as teas, tinctures, and herbal joy. When the plant is young it's unique flavour is similar to a cross between standard basil and bubblegum. It is said that as a mature house plant it produces more oxygen than other typical houseplants. Perfect for indoor container growing but also will thrive in the outdoor summer heat. On a scale of one to ten for plants to study and keep, this one is definitely a ten. Optimal temperature for germination: 21°C (70°F). Seeds should sprout in 5-10 days. Sow seeds with only light soil (1/2 cm) on top as these seeds are very small. Thin to 20-25cm (8-10″) apart. Plants can be trained to grow bushy by pinching tips.
