Originally from Virginia (1840's), 'Bloody Butcher' is an Heirloom Ornamental Red Dent Corn that has multiple uses for the homesteader. Besides being a beautiful ornamental corn these uses include grounding into flour for baking, roasting and corn meal. Stalks can grow 10 to 12 feet tall producing 2 ears per stalk. Produces 20 to 30cm (8-12") ears. Make sure to save cobs that are completely red with dents to maintain varietal purity.
