Heirloom Vegetable
70+ Seeds per Pack!
A native plant to Australia. If you are new to gardening, this is your lucky day. This plant thrives in hot and dry weather. To avoid oxalates, we recommend blanching leaves in hot water for at least a minute and rinsing with cool water before eating. Discard the cooking water. This variety should not be eaten raw.
Sow seed 12 mm (1/2″) deep and 2.5 cm (1″) apart in rows 30-45 cm (12-18″) apart after your last spring frost date – thin seedlings to 20 cm (8″) after germination. Plants will grow all summer long allowing for an extended harvest period. Top-dress with compost, after seedlings are well established.
